Westcott Bay Reserve on San Juan Island is accessible by an excellent car ferry service to Friday Harbor, a general aviation air strip directly across the road from the sculpture park, or by water. There are public and private Roche Harbor slips for over 100 power boats and large sailboats. Getting there is lots of fun!

Over eighty large scale quality outdoor stone and metal sculptures by regional artists are on display on the 20 acre landscaped sculpture park, which surrounds a beautiful fresh water lake.

Easy to understand maps and descriptive literature make a self conducted tour a breeze. Don't miss Benbow Bullock's 30 foot high fire engine red helicoidal spiral auger, Not Your Average Beanstalk; (at left) and Ann Morris' graceful cast bronze mythical creature, Will There be Room for Me? (below left). If you locate these works you will have passed and seen most of the sculptures on display.

On clear nights you can see the Aurora Borealis in its full glory. Brings to mind the "Cremation of Sam McGhee" by Robert Service reflecting on the Klondike gold rush on the marge of Lake Labarge
in the cold winter of '98 (1898 that is...)
